Sign your life away...
... Ok. Not that dramatic. But, when Collin and I went online to change our pace times, we realized we had not yet signed the waiver. It's on the same place where your log in to change your 10k pace. Just wanted to give everyone the friendly reminder to do both of those! The sooner that all happens, the sooner we can get our Start time and continue planning for this bad boy!

Merchandise
Have you looked at the jackets/t-shirts on the Ragnar Website? Some of them are pretty legit. They even have orange. Just sayin. The hoodies/jackets are rad too.
I've also been checking out random sporting goods websites for orange shirts. Who's on board for matching? If you are, how much are you willing to spend for something? Let me know so my searching can be more effective.

Hotel Saturday Night
We have two rooms reserved at the Venetian Saturday night after the race. The Redrock was booked full.
Who plans on staying Sat night? I haven't reserved a third room yet...want to see how many people plan to stay.

HOUSING Thursday Night
So, I'm working on contacting my buddy who lives in Vegas. I left him a message at like 8 this morning and he has yet to return my call. I'll keep you all updated on the progress of the situation, but be sure to let me know if anything falls into our laps. Also, exactly how many people would he have to have crash at his place? I'm sure he'd like an exact number.
Noggin' Lights
Hey gang, so here's the deal. I've got a solid underground hookup with a buddy of mine who manages a store somewhere near here. This might already sound shady and it probably should, but this source cannot be named for his own protection... so to you all he's as fictitious as Dwhytie. Anyways, I can get you this headlamp for the low price of $15. I'd like to go to the store sometime next week so that we can get this over and done with and you all can have shiny new headlamps. It's light and shouldn't jiggle around a bunch when you run, but it's still plenty bright and will be a great upgrade to whatever flashlight your mother sent you to college with. Flashlights are for boy scouts and people who only want to use one hand at a time. So if you'd like one, first throw away all the D batteries you own, then send me an email by Friday, September 10th (taylorzmoos@gmail.com). I look forward to hearing from you.

Running Vests
Here is a link to the Running Vests that are on the Nike Website. They are only offered in L/XL. It is something that you would wear over your clothes, and it has the capabilities to be tightened so maybe the size isn't that big of a deal to some of you.
Let me know who is interested and we'll order them. I'll talk to Dale about a new order and then I'll notify you of the deadline.

A Work In Progress...
Hey all! How's training coming? I just wanted to illustrate the awesomeness of our team. Over Pioneer Day, which, YES I KNOW, was ages ago, a few of the team ventured all the way up to Logan to relish in the festivities and burn some calories/train while we were at it. Early Saturday morning, Brett, Kristy, Owen, Melissa, Collin and I took a nice 3.something mile run.
Later in the day, the Blomquists also took some time out of their holiday wknd with Cory's hermana to hike to the WIND CAVES with us in Logan Canyon. The hike was fairly intense, depending on who you ask. I think that Owen was the trooper of all troopers since it was so hot outside. Or maybe it was Brett for getting his huge self AND his baby not only up but also down the mountain?
178 miles.....guess again....
We will now be running 195 miles. This is the new course map.
The legs have all been changed as well. Take a look HERE .
Team run this Saturday??? The Rotheys are in town!!!

We're Fat Kids at Heart......But We ARE Training!
![]() |
| The Denneys are fat kids at heart. We ran from our house to Bajio, picked up our dinner, and ran home. Total mileage: 2.8 miles. Running to get fast food is better than driving right?!? |
All joking aside, we ran 4.5 miles Saturday (remember, Owen is training with us), Kristy ran 4 mi yesterday, and we plan to get a couple more short ones in before a longer one on Saturday!
How is everyone else doing? Let's get a TEAM run together soon!!!

Basic Race Information
Hello Fugitives,
Here is the link to the Ragnar Las Vegas home page. It would be a good idea to get acquainted with what is going on over there. Training Timelines for intermediate runners and for beginning runners can be found there, Runner Distances for the race are there. It's a good idea to know the hardest runs we have to run and the easiest to give yourself a good idea of how it's going to be during the race. Keep those runs in mind while you train.
There are also links for race day checklists and the ALL INCLUSIVE RACE BIBLE.
We are going to decide on cars assignments and running legs when we get a lot closer to race day so no need to worry about that right now. Everyone just train how you feel comfortable and it'll all take care of itself.
